He calls it a day after televised interview...
Michael Jackson‘s chief spokesman has resigned following differences with members of the singer’s advisors.
Stuart Backerman resigned on Boxing Day – the day after a television interview with Jackson was broadcast on CBS in the US.
He said: “I resigned… over strategic differences with the way things are going.”
In the interview Michael Jackson denied allegations of child abuse, and said he had been “manhandled very roughly” during his arrest.
The singer faces seven counts of child abuse and two of plying a minor with alcohol to commit a crime.
Stuart Backerman said he had no firm plans for the future and did not know who would replace him. He added: “The one thing I will say is that I love Michael Jackson and his fans.”
