Watch Miguel cover Rihanna’s ‘Kiss It Better’ while checking lyrics on his phone

Star had to consult his phone during Spotify House perfromance at SXSW festival

R’n’b star Miguel performed a cover version of Rihanna‘s track ‘Kiss It Better’ at SXSW’s Spotify House events last night (March 15).

The star has been collaborating and covering with artists far and wide, including Rihanna, TV on The Radio and Tame Impala, besides covering David Bowie and performing a special Michael Jackson tribute at The Grammy Awards.

According to Pitchfork, Miguel covered Ri-Ri’s ANTI album track at the showcase event in Austin, Texas, where he reportedly checked his mobile phone for clarification of the track’s lyrics. Watch the video below.

TMZ recently interviewed Miguel about “Work,” Rihanna’s collaboration with Drake that appears on ANTI. When asked to decode the song’s lyrics, he replied, “I don’t know—that shit sounds amazing, though,” sang a bit of the hook, and concluded, “That’s all you need to know.” Watch that interview below.
