Controversial tour includes a section in which Cyrus simulates oral sex on a man dressed as Bill Clinton
Concert promoter Live Nation has been forced to deny that Miley Cyrus‘ current US tour is under threat of cancellation.
The denial comes following reports that venues due to host the controversial tour, which includes a section in which Cyrus simulates oral sex on a man dressed as Bill Clinton, are pulling out prompted by complaints from parents and that the tour is in jeopardy.
Live Nation has hit back at the reports, however, with a spokesperson for the company saying: “There is no truth whatsoever to any stories or rumors of venues pulling out of the Bangerz Tour,” in a statement given to E! News. “Miley has created a tour that’s big, spectacular, entertaining and everything you would expect from Miley Cyrus. Reviews have been amazing and most important, fans are loving the show and having a great time.”
Cyrus herself has responded to parents complaints, posting the following tweet on February 20.

Cyrus previously said that the ‘Bangerz’ world tour will be “educational for kids”. The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer also said that her gigs will see fans being exposed to art which they may have never heard about before. This came just a day after the singer posted a picture from her tour rehearsal of herself riding a enlarged hot dog in the air.
She said: “Even though parents probably won’t think this, I think my show is educational for kids. They’re going to be exposed to art most people don’t know about. People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns. I’m excited to take this tour to places where [art] like this wouldn’t be accepted, where kids wouldn’t learn about this different kind of art.”
Cyrus was also planning to give fans free merchandise on her forthcoming ‘Bangerz’ tour, adding that she wants to drop items on the heads of the audience. Speaking at a recent press conference, she said: “I want to give my fans real things they can collect. I’m a little bit of a hoarder. It’s my mom’s worst nightmare. I hope my fans become hoarders also. I’m giving a lot of junk away… I’ll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table.”
