Reality show contestant booted for breaking 'a golden rule'
The X Factor‘s Frankie Cocozza has been kicked off the show for breaking ‘a golden rule’, according to reports.
Although the exact reason for his departure is not yet known, The Sun claims that show producers were forced to give the wannabe pop star the axe after he broke one of the reality show’s rules.
Cocozza had found himself in hot water with the show’s bosses before for his reported all-night partying sessions and womanising, and is also being investigated by TV watchdog Ofcom for swearing before the 9pm watershed.
A source from the show said:
Frankie is devastated but he has broken a golden rule so producers had no option but to axe him.
They went on to add: “He had an extra boost from being kept in at the weekend when he thought he was going to go. But now his dream is officially over and he only has himself to blame.”
The Sun also claims that he had previously threatened to leave the show because of abuse he had been receiving from the public. “Frankie had a meltdown,” said a source. “He knows he won’t win and can’t be bothered with all the haters.”
Senior staff on The X Factor are reportedly “paralysed with fear” due to the show’s slide in ratings, and are said to be discussing switching around the judge’s categories to boost viewing figures.
