Black Label Society’ s Zakk Wylde ‘terrified’ of stalker neighbour

Heavy metal guitarist seeks restraining order after fan leaves a sacrifice outside his door

Black Label Society frontman Zakk Wylde has been forced to file a restraining order against a neighbour who left a sacrifice outside his front door.

Wylde, who formed the heavy metal band Black Label Society in 1999 and has previously worked as a guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, claims to have been left “terrified” by the fan according to a court report obtained by TMZ.

In the documents, Wylde claims to have been harassed and stalked by his neighbour over a prolonged period of time and was forced to contact the police after an incident involving the fan occurred at his home.

The guitarist also claims that the fan has been “deemed mentally ill” and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. According to the court report, a temporary restraining order has been issued by a LA County Superior Court judge which requires him to stay at least 100 yards away from Wylde and his family.

Over the past several months, there have been several high-profile cases involving musicians being harassed by fans.

In August, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante was granted a restraining order against a woman ordering her to stay at least 100 yards away from the rocker and his wife until 2013.

Earlier this month, meanwhile, police arrested a man who broke into the house of singer Celine Dion and ran himself a bath. Although Dion and her husband were not in the house at the time of the incident, police were alerted to the break-in after the intruder set off the property’s alarm system.
