Modest Mouse debut new song ‘Coyotes’ plus video

Band's forthcoming album 'Strangers to Ourselves' is due out on March 3

Modest Mouse have unveiled new song ‘Coyotes’ complete with a video that follows an actual coyote taking a train ride through Portland.

As pointed out by fan site Interstate-8, the piece is inspired by the true story of a coyote that rode Portland’s MAX light rail train back in 2002. Visit Interstate-8 to watch.

‘Coyotes’ will feature on the band’s forthcoming album ‘Strangers to Ourselves’, due out on March 3. Fans can purchase the track via digital download from tomorrow, and a 7-inch vinyl version will be included with the first 2,500 vinyl pre-orders of the new LP from Modest Mouse’s official website.

Announced last month ‘Strangers to Ourselves is the group’s first album since 2007’s ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank’ and will also feature the previously released single ‘Lampshades On Fire’.
