Modest Mouse perform ‘Lampshades On Fire’ in first TV appearance in six years

The band recently released new album 'Strangers To Ourselves'

Modest Mouse appeared on US late-night TV last night (March 17), taking to ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.

It was the band’s first TV performance since 2009, performing ‘Lampshades On Fire’ from their new album ‘Strangers To Ourselves’. Watch below.

Meanwhile, the band’s new album is streaming online. The record was released yesterday (March 16), following on from 2007’s ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank’ – the band’s only full-length effort with Johnny Marr as a member of the band.

‘Strangers To Ourselves’ features guest contributions from James Mercer (The Shins), Jim Fairchild (Grandaddy) and Dann Gallucci (Cold War Kids).

Modest Mouse recently announced a short UK tour for July. The band will stop off at Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle before playing at T In The Park in July as part of a European tour.
