The Smiths legend plays three new tracks to Perth audience
Morrissey debuted three new songs as he kicked off his UK tour last night (June 15).
The former Smiths singer began his run of shows at Perth Concert Hall, and treated fans to an unbroken run of tracks from his as-yet-untitled new album. He played ‘Action Is My Middle Name’, ‘The Kid’s A Looker’ and ‘People Are The Same Everywhere’.
He also played five songs from The Smiths catalogue; ‘I Want The One I Can’t Have’, ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’, ‘Shoplifters Of The World Unite’, I Know It’s Over’ and ‘Meat Is Murder’.
Towards the end of the show, he covered the Lou Reed classic ‘Satellite Of Love’.
All venues on the tour have been requested to take meat off the menu on the nights Morrissey is performing. The tour will now continue in Scotland for the rest of the week, calling at Dunoon, Dunfermline and Harwick.
