Morrissey forced to cancel ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’ appearance

Transport issues stop singer joining Michelle Keegan and Warwick Davies on Channel 4 chat show

Morrissey has pulled out of a scheduled appearance on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

The former Smiths frontman was supposed to appear on tonight’s (March 27) episode of the Channel 4 show.

However, The Mirror reports that the singer was forced to cancel due to transport issues from Belfast to London, where the show was filmed last night (March 26).

Carr is reported to have told the studio audience “He’s stuck in Belfast, so we wish him love, and he will have to come back.”

The singer was lined up to perform his latest single ‘Kiss Me A Lot’ from the 2014 album ‘World Peace is None of Your Business’. The music will instead be provided by Hudson Taylor with Michelle Keegan, Elijah Wood, Troy the Magician and Warwick Davies as guests.

Morrissey’s UK tour concludes tonight with a gig at Birmingham Barclaycard Arena. A gig in Holland axed earlier this month as the singer was suffering from flu, meanwhile, has been rescheduled for March 29.
