Singer-songwriter says she is doing all she can to join March gigs
Morrissey invited Buffy Sainte-Marie to join him on his upcoming UK tour, according to the singer herself.
Sainte-Marie said that she was “scrambling dates” to see if she can join the tour, which begins in Nottingham on March 13. The following two messages were posted by the singer on February 11.
Morrissey tours the UK from next month. The short outing will also include dates in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow before wrapping up at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on March 27.
Morrissey’s 2014 tour – which the singer described as “what I may risk calling our best tour ever” – included just one UK date, at London’s O2 Arena. The performer listed the London date as his favourite gig of the year in an end-of-tour message.
Earlier this month it was reported that Morrissey had axed a gig in Iceland after the venue refused to stop selling meat on the night of his appearance. This was subsequently proven to be incorrect with both the venue manager and promoter confirming that no negotiations about food took place.
Morrissey will play:
Nottingham Capital FM Arena (March 13)
Bournemouth International Centre (14)
Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (18)
Leeds First Direct Arena (20)
Glasgow SSE Hydro (21)
Birmingham Barclaycard Arena (27)
