Mumford and Sons frontman says he'll never stop watching YouTube footage of him playing 'Hungry Heart' with The Boss

Marcus Mumford has said that playing with Bruce Springsteen at Pinkpop festival in Holland this summer was the best day of his life.

The Mumford and Sons frontman, whose band today unveiled the video for their new track ‘I Will Wait’, said he will never stop watching YouTube footage of the gig – which you can watch below.

“It was the best fucking day of my life – unbelievable,” he told the Sunday Times. “The Boss had watched our show, which I didn’t know until the penultimate song, when I turned round and saw him in his Ray-Bans, nodding.”

He added: “We watched his set from behind the monitor desk, then, halfway through ‘Hungry Heart’, he nodded at us and waved us onstage. He grabbed me round the neck and shoved the microphone in my face. Have I watched the YouTube footage? Absolutely, from every single angle. I never watch our band, but I’ll never stop watching that.”

Mumford and Sons unveiled their new video for ‘I Will Wait’ today, which you can also watch below.

The promo was filmed in the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on August 28 and sees the band performing their new single in front of a packed crowd on their current ‘Gentlemen Of The Road’ US tour.
