TIME COMES ROUND FOR MUSE

Their new single knocks The Libertines from number one...

Muse have shot straight to the top of this week’s NME chart with new single ‘Time Is Running Out’.

The chart, chosen by viewers of the NME chart on MTV2 and by NME readers, sees last week’s number one, The Libertines ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ drops down to number two.

There are a host of other new entries with The Mars Volta at three with ‘Inertiatic ESP’, AFI at four with ‘The Leaving Song Part II’, ‘Wake Me’ at five from Longwave, Jet at seven with ‘Are You Going To Be My Girl’ and Audioslave at eight with ‘Show Me How To Love’.

The rest of the top 10 is taken up by Placebo at six (‘Special Needs’), Radiohead at nine with ‘Go To Sleep’ and BRMC at 10 with ‘Stop’.
