Band formed in Devon two decades ago
Muse‘s Matt Bellamy has shared a picture of the band in their very early days to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The band formed as teenagers in 1994, and though there are no formal plans to mark their two decades together, Bellamy did share a picture of himself, Dom Howard and Chris Wolstenholme looking decidedly fresh-faced via Twitter yesterday (August 4).

Fans of the band recently started a petition calling for the band to play a special 20th-anniversary gig. The petition asks that the band play a small gig in their hometown of Teignmouth, where they formed, or in London. The petition can be found here and currently has over 1,500 signatures.
Muse are currently working on the follow-up to their sixth album ‘The 2nd Law’. Earlier this year, drummer Howard commented: “We’re going to start this year… We’re going to go back in May and start working on some new stuff, so I think we’ll start making it this year… If we can get something out this year, that would be great, but definitely next year.”
Speaking about their plans for the new album, Matt Bellamy added: “I have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we’ve experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff.”
Muse played a number of shows earlier in 2014, including a headline slot at California’s Coachella Festival in April.
