Meat Puppets set to play at September bash

My Bloody Valentine will headline and curate a new New York branch of the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in September.

The band, who are playing their first live dates since 1992 this year, will also perform in six to eight additional US cities. Details are yet to be announced.

The ATP event will be held between September 19 and 21 at Kutshers Country Clubin Monticello, New York, about 100 miles away from Manhattan, reports Billboard.

The line-up will feature four bands playing the entirety of a classic album – Built To Spill will perform ‘Perfect From Now On’, Tortoise will do ‘Millions Now Living Will Never Die’, The Meat Puppets will do ‘Meat Puppets II’ and Thurston Moore will perform ‘Psychic Hearts’.

Also confirmed to appear are Shellac, Mogwai, Polvo, Fuck Buttons, Autolux, the Drones, Low, Wooden Shjips and Edan and Thee Silver Mount Zion Orchestra.

My Bloody Valentine also personally asked Gemma Hayes to perform. Frontman Kevin Shields guests on Hayes‘ forthcoming album, ‘The Hollow of Morning’.
