KEVIN SHIELDS has been nominated for a BAFTA for his contribution to the soundtrack of the acclaimed movie ‘LOST IN TRANSLATION’.

The My Bloody Valentine mainman is shortlisted for the ‘Anthony Asquith Award For Achievement In Film Music’. He’ll find out if he’s won at the ceremony, which takes place on February 15 at Odeon Leicester Square in London’s West End.

Shields is currently touring the UK with Primal Scream, and has reportedly been back in the studio with My Bloody Valentine working on material for an upcoming retrospective compilation.

The Jack White-starring ‘Cold Mountain’ has been nominated for 13 BAFTAs, including the Film Music category.
