Duet with The Boss could be out by the holidays

Nelly has revealed he sought out none other than Bruce Springsteen for a collaboration on his forthcoming album.

The rapper, most famous for his hit ‘Hot In Herre’, said Springsteen is interested in the collaboration, but scheduling difficulties made it impossible to record a song in time for inclusion on Nelly‘s album ‘Brass Knuckles’.

However, he told the Associated Press that there is a chance the pair will get together later this year when their schedules permit, and possibly have the song feature on a special edition of the release.

“We still might get a chance to get it off. We’re saving it. We might repackage it for the holidays,” he said on the orange carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Akon, Ashanti, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg and T.I. are all guests on Nelly‘s forthcoming album.

The lead single from the disc, ‘Party People’, is a collaboration with Fergie.
