The hip-hop star gets some famous pals in to help him rework his classic songs...

NELLY has assembled a collection of remixes and alternative versions of his greatest hits.

‘Da Derrty Versions (The Reinvention)’ is released in the US on November 25, with a UK release expected. The collection sees big names and new artists collaborate with Nelly or rework tracks, according to Billboard.

Nelly commented: “It’s strictly for fun. I’m not trying to gain anything from it. We wanted to redo some joints that we thought that people helped made classics to us.”

The first single will be a new version of ‘Iz U’, produced by Jay E, which also features on forthcoming Eddie Murphy movie ‘The Haunted Mansion’.

Other new tracks see St Lunatics member City Spud pop up on a new version of ‘Ride Wit Me’ that has been combined with John Mayer’s ‘No Such Thing’, while fellow crew member Ali provides a third vocal on ‘Dilemma’, Nelly’s duet with Kelly Rowland.
