LOONY TUNES!

There's a new album due in March...

Rising hip hop superstar NELLY is set to release a new album in March as a member of his longtime outfit THE LUNATICS.

The as-yet-untitled album will be released through Nelly’s current label, Universal, on March 26 in the UK, and a day later in the US.

The Lunatics feature Nelly and a collection of his old skool friends from St Louis. They tried for a number of years to break through as a big league success, before deciding that Nelly had a better chance of success if he pursued a solo career. His five million-selling US chart-topper ‘Country Grammar’ proved their decision right, and each member of The Lunatics guested on the record.

However, Nelly maintains that The Lunatics’ album will not just be about him.

“The Lunatics’ album is four different personalities flat out,” he told www.sonicnet.com. “Nelly’s going to do Nelly when he get on, and everybody else is gonna do everybody else when they get on. And that’s what makes us what we are. It’s a hot album. I think everyone will give it up for our individuality… you got to let everybody in the group be individuals.”
