'Wild Side' could be a new Lana Del Rey song - with a single expected this month
Fans are speculating that a new Lana Del Rey song could be about to be released along with news of her new album – after a song called ‘Wild Side’ appeared to be registered under her name.
Lana Del Rey’s fifth album and the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Honeymoon’ is believed to have been in the works for some time, as she revealed that she had ‘ideas’ for the record back in December 2015.
“I do have early thoughts about what I’d like to do with [the album],” she told NME. “My label, Interscope, is pretty flexible and open to my records coming out at any time, so I don’t have that pressure. I’m just happy to be able to keep on making music I can stand behind. That’s enough for me.”
Earlier this year, the ‘Video Games’ star shared a photo of her at work in the recording studio, but now fans have noticed that a new song called ‘Wild Side’ has appeared registered under her Lana Del Rey’s real name of Elizabeth Grant – co-written by Greg Banks.
In October, US radio host Mike Adam from 965 Amp Radio said that a new Lana Del Rey song would drop ‘next month’ – suggesting that we can expect a track in November any day now:
When contacted by NME, Lana Del Rey representatives were unable to comment.
The summer saw a number of unheard and unreleased Lana Del Rey songs leak online after a hard drive was stolen – including ‘Super Movie’, ‘BBM Baby‘ and more. Rumours of her returning to the road to support Guns N’ Roses on tour turned out to be false.
