Rapper eyes her final collaboration…
Previously, the ‘Superbass’ rapper has teamed up with a long list of stars in the studio, including Madonna, Kanye West and Drake but, in an interview with US radio station Breakfast Club, said that she was only interested in working with the former Destiny’s Child singer.
Asked which artists she’d still like to work with, she replied:
My fans want a Beyonce collab. That’s the only one.
Speaking about her rivalries with other artists, meanwhile, she added: “These little spats and these little issues, I rise to the occasion every time. A lot of girls want it, but they haven’t been tested so much along the way.
“A rap battle, I could do that in my sleep now. I’m trying to get paper,” she went on to say. “I watch what Jay-Z did and I feel like if he could do it, I could do it. Just ’cause I’m a girl, doesn’t make me any different.”
In the past, Minaj has enjoyed a notable rivalry with fellow rapper Lil Kim, with some commentators claiming that she was the inspiration for the scathing lyrics from her recent single ‘Stupid Hoe’.
‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ features collaborations with the likes of Nas, Drake and Lil Wayne as well as Chris Brown. It includes the singles ‘Starships’ and ‘Stupid Hoe’ as well as future release ‘Right By My Side’.
Last month, Nicki Minaj announced a short UK tour for this June. The tour begins with two shows at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 24 and 25, before moving onto Birmingham’s NIA Academy on June 26. Minaj wraps up the tour on June 28 with a show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo.
