Nirvana and Blink-182 are set to go Top Five in UK album chart on Sunday

Sak Noel and James Morrison are currently heading for top spots in midweek chart

Nirvana and Blink-182 are both set to enter the Top Five in the UK album chart this Sunday (October 2).

The grunge legends’ reissued and repackaged version of ‘Nevermind’ is currently at Number Four in the midweek chart, while the returning pop punkers are presently set to enter at Number Five with ‘Neighborhoods’.

James Morrison is on to take the top spot at the moment with his new album ‘The Awakening’, with last week’s Number One Kasabian set to be Number Two with ‘Velociraptor!’ and Ed Sheeran Number Three with ‘+’.

Mastodon are also looking at a very high new entry, with their new album ‘The Hunter’ currently on to enter at Number Eight. Another reissue, this time of Pink Floyd‘s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon, is set to be this week’s Number Seven.

In the singles race, Spanish DJ Sak Noel is presently set to take his first UK Number One with ‘Loca People’, while the Goo Goo Dolls‘Iris’ is at Number Two, after being performed by an X Factor contestant.

Last week’s Number One Dappy is down to Number Four, while One Direction are at Number Five. Maroon 5 are at Number Three with ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
