The singer feared the attack on him outside a Nottingham nightclub would leave him dead...

BRIAN HARVEY has spoken out about the attack on him outside a Nottingham nightclub.

Speaking to The People newspaper, the former E17 singer said: “I thought they had smashed my brains in. I really thought this was it and that I would end up dead.”

Harvey was struck outside The Works nightclub in

Nottingham in the early hours of Tuesday (December 11) following a

performance at the venue. Harvey was treated in hospital for 24 hours after the attack and is now recovering at home.

The singer was first treated at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre before being transferred to the City Hospital’s plastic surgery unit.

Harvey requred surgery for head wounds and had to have skin from his thigh grafted on to his head. “I put my hand to the back of my head and

could feel a massive hole with no skin on it,” said Harvey.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said “inquiries are continuing”.
