ONLOOKER KILLED WATCHING SEAN PAUL VIDEO SHOOT

A murder hunt is launched...

Police in CANADA have launched a murder hunt for two men after an onlooker was gunned down on the set of a video shoot on Monday night (December 9).

The shooting happened while a video was being filmed for the song ‘Get Busy’ by Jamaican reggae star Sean Paul, who is currently at Number Eight in the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the single ‘Gimme The Light’.

The victim, Ramesh Christie, 21, had been sitting in a white Range Rover watching the video shoot at around 8.30pm when a black car pulled up alongside him and several shots were fired. Eyewitnesses reported that he jumped out of his car and started running down the street, with gunshots still being fired at him.

He was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, where died of his injuries.

According to the Toronto Star, investigators said they do not believe that the murder was related to the video shoot, and he was not part of the cast or crew. Around 100 extras, crew and onlookers were gathered on the street in the Vaughan district to watch the filming of the video’s final scene.

The suspects are described as two men in their late teens or early 20s, who fled the scene in their black sports utility vehicle.

Dancehall DJ Sean Paul has been a star in his native Jamaica since the mid-90’s and shot to stardom in the US after appearing on the soundtrack of the 1998 movie ‘Belly’, which starred DMX, TLC‘s T-Boz and Nas, who also co-wrote it. He had his first Top 10 US hit in 199 with ‘Hot Gal Today’, and

He issued a statement yesterday extending his sympathy and prayers to Christie’s family. “We must overcome violence and hatred. All life is precious.”
