POLICE VIEW ROSKILDE TRAGEDY AS AN ACCIDENT

It's reported that Danish police are viewing the deaths of nine people as a tragic accident...

It is looking increasingly unlikely that ROSKILDE FESTIVAL organisers will face prosecution over the events that led to nine people being crushed to death last Friday (June 30).

According to reports on US website Pearl Jam[/a]’s performance at the festival as an accident, and not a criminal case.

Yesterday, a 24 year-old man from Melbourne in Australia became the latest victim. He was seriously injured in the crush, but was plucked alive from the melee. He died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The next major European festival is T In The Park in Scotland this weekend (July 8-9). Festival promoter Stuart Clumpas has assured fans travelling to the event that adequate safety regulations are in place to avoid a repeat of last week’s tragedy.
