NEIL YOUNG sustained a minor injury during his set at the ROCK IN RIO festival in BRAZIL last night (January 20).
The rock legend, who headlined the penultimate day of the festival, hurt his finger during Like A Hurricane but continued with the song and finished his set, which earned him one of the warmest receptions of the seven-day music extravaganza.
He played with Crazy Horse cohorts Frank Sampedro and Billy Talbot.
Organisers estimate that 110,000 people attended the second-last day, which saw Sheryl Crow receive a decidedly muted response, while Dave Matthews was more enthusiastically received.
As previously reported on NME.COM, the second weekend of the two-part festival has been eventful, with over 200 kids getting lost on the pop day on Thursday and Nick Oliveri from Queens Of The Stoneage getting arrested after playing the band?s set naked on Friday. The event winds up tonight with Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining.
