A must-have for mega Beck fans

Beck is to release his discography on vinyl, with every album – except ‘Morning Phase’ – to be reissued on record.

‘Odelay’, ‘Sea Change’ and ‘Guero’ are the first albums to be reissued, set to be released on October 28.

The release dates for ‘Mellow Gold’, ‘Mutations’, ‘Midnight Vultures’, ‘The Information’ and ‘Modern Guilt’ are yet to be announced.

Beck recently released the video for latest single ‘Wow’. It follows last year’s single ‘Dreams’, both of which will be included on Beck’s follow-up to 2014’s ‘Morning Phase’. The as-yet-untitled album will be released on October 21 via Capital Records.

In an interview with NME, Beck revealed that at one point he attempted to get Chance the Rapper to feature on ‘Wow’.

“I like the new Chance The Rapper record a lot,” Beck said. “Four or five months ago we tried to get Chance on ‘Wow.’ I’m not sure what happened with that.”

Speaking of the album, Beck said: “This record has felt like a lot of freedom, as I’ve had time to work things out and try things. I’ll go too far in one direction, then go too far in another. There were a few other ideas that have come out of making this record that are interesting and have pushed me in other directions.”
