The Joy Formidable kick-off day three of Glastonbury

Fans brave scorching heat to see Welsh trio

The Joy Formidable opened the Other Stage at Glastonbury today (June 27), performing tracks from their soon to be released debut album.

Despite an early set time for the Welsh trio, fronted by Ritzy Bryan, the band still drew a sizable audience.

Bryan referenced the scorching heat several times during the band’s performance, thanking the crowd for bearing with them during the hot weather.

“We know it’s really hot out there, but we really appreciate you getting up to see our band,” she said before playing fan-favourite ‘Austere’.

The Joy Formidable played:

‘The Greatest Light Is The Greatest Shade’
‘Cradle’
‘Austere’
‘Greyhounds In The Slips’
‘Popinjay’
‘Whirring’
