Jack White, Rihanna, Kasabian, Florence, LCD and MIA to star on 10-cover edition of NME

Foals, Laura Marling, Biffy Clyro, Magnetic Man also feature for first issue of new-look NME magazine out this week (Apr 7)

Jack White, Florence And The Machine, Kasabian and MIA are among 10 different cover stars who will feature in a special edition of NME this week (April 7).

The issue will feature 10 different covers – all with exclusive interviews – with LCD Soundsystem, Biffy Clyro and Laura Marling among those who appear.

Each of the artists on the cover give their assessment on where music is at right now and their vision for the future.

“Getting the 10 covers together has been an exciting challenge for the NME team. We’ve brought together a really varied group of musicians, from global icons like Jack White and Rihanna, innovators like MIA and LCD Soundsystem to exciting newcomers in the form of dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man,” explained NME editor Krissi Murison.

She added: “They might all look and sound different, but what each of these 10 cover stars have in common is that they are all at the forefront of 2010’s breakthrough sounds.”

The special covers have been put together to mark the launch of the new NME. The magazine has been completely revamped with new front, features and reviews sections, plus an update for NME‘s iconic logo.

“This week’s special edition also marks the start of a new phase for NME,” explained Murison. “From our new masthead, through to the revamped news, Radar and reviews sections, this issue marks the beginning of a new era for the magazine. I can’t wait to see what music fans make of the new NME.”
