Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber given ‘all clear’ following cancer battle

The composer was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has been given the ‘all clear’ following his battle with cancer.

The 61-year composer who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October, and is now recovering quickly after finishing treatment and having surgery to remove his prostate gland.

“It is the hugest relief,” Webber said in a statement. “We have arrived – at the end of a long journey – at the best possible outcome. In my case, I will be 62 next year and I have five children. Most importantly, I am alive, my children have a father.”

Lloyd Webber is best known for his musicals which include Evita, Starlight Express and The Phantom Of The Opera.
