LIBS BEAT BABYSHAMBLES TO TOP SLOT ON NME CHART

But Pete Doherty will be happy - he fills the top two places...

Libertines have hung onto top slot in this week’s NME CHART – after seeing off ex-bandmate PETE DOHERTY’s new group BABYSHAMBLES.

‘What Become Of The Likely Lads?’ just sees off Babyshambles’ ‘Killamangiro’, while last week’s Number Two, ‘Processed Beats’ by Kasabian, falls to Three.

Elsewhere there’s little movement on the chart – The Futureheads’ ‘Meantime’, a former Number One, climbs back up to Four, while The Others creep back into the Top Ten with ‘Stan Bowles’ at Nine this week.
