Tickets to the show will be available via a ballot system
Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds will perform a rare intimate gig at London’s The Dome venue on February 2 ahead of the band’s forthcoming UK tour.
The gig will see Gallagher perform tracks from his new album ‘Chasing Yesterday’ for the first time. Tickets will be available via a ballot system, which closes on Friday January 23 at 4pm.
Successful fans will be notified by email after the ballot closes and given details on how to buy tickets – which will cost £25 – between Monday January 26 and Wednesday January 28.
Gallagher’s High Flying Birds release ‘Chasing Yesterday’ on March 2. The album features the single ‘In The Heat Of The Moment’ as well as Johnny Marr collaboration ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I’.
Yesterday, it was reported that Gallagher had revealed that his collaboration album with psychedelic producers Amorphous Androgynous will “never see the light of day” because “the mixes weren’t right” and he just “couldn’t be arsed” to put out another record. In the new issue of NME, which is on newsstands now and available digitally, Gallagher said: “Initially when they delivered it they managed to pull off the trick of recording the quietest CD of all time. When I got it I couldn’t hear it and was like, ‘Is it broke?’ But for all the great ideas on it… I was in the middle of a tour, that last album had blown up, the mixes weren’t right. And by the time I got back off tour I was just like, ‘I’m not fucking putting out another record, I can’t be arsed’. I was frazzled and had glandular fever. I was fucked.”
Meanwhile, Gallagher’s UK tour sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale in October. The singer will tour the UK and Ireland, kicking off in Belfast, before heading to Dublin, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London.
Noel Gallagher will play the following live dates:
London The Dome (February 2)
Belfast Odyssey Arena (March 3)
Dublin 3 Arena (4)
Nottingham Capital FM Arena (6)
Glasgow The SSE Hydro (7)
Manchester Arena, (9)
London O2 Arena (10)
