A host of names all create 18 second video messages of support

Noel Gallagher, Fatboy Slim and Inspiral CarpetsClint Boon are among the names who are supporting a campaign to help England secure the hosting of the World Cup in 2018.

Created by Umbro, the ‘I’m in’ campaign is hoping to convince the football governing body FIFA how passionate the country is to stage the event.

As part of the campaign, a host of celebrities have given their support by creating an 18-second video to tell the world why they are backing England’s bid, and you can see Noel Gallagher‘s by scrolling down.

“I think it’s a travesty that in the whole history of that competition we’ve only had it once,” Gallagher says in his video. “It would bring the country together, and the final will be just round the corner from my house!”

Hoping to encourage the public to post their own 18 second videos of support, other names who have taken part include Kid British, DJs Trevor Nelson and Pete Tong, and footballers Michael Owen and Alan Shearer.
