Guitarist will release his new single on September 11
Noel Gallagher has announced that he will release the second single from his debut solo album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ later this month.
On September 11, the guitarist will release ‘AKA…What A Life!’, the second single to emerge from the album, which itself is due for release on October 17. The track is the follow-up to ‘The Death Of You And Me’, which charted at Number 15 in the UK Singles Chart on Sunday (August 28).
‘AKA…What A Life!’ has been described as “a dance track” by Gallagher in the past and he also said it is one of his favourites from ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’.
The album, which features a number of tracks that were written during his years as a member of Oasis, will be released through Gallagher‘s own Sour Mash Records.
The LP was recorded over the past year in London and Los Angeles with producer Dave Sardy.
A second album, recorded with psychedelic collective Amorphous Androgynous, is due to come out sometime in 2012.
