Noel Gallagher’s scissors player has returned and you can actually hear her

Snip snip...

Noel Gallagher has made a welcome return to US television with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and he brought his divisive scissors player with him too.

After leaving viewers baffled on Later With Jools Holland last year, Charlotte Marionneau played the most unusual of instruments once more, although her contribution is a lot more obvious this time around – with the sound of distinct snipping being picked up by the microphones.

The bizarre moment came during the performance of Noel’s ‘It’s A Beautiful World’ from 2017 album ‘Who Built The Moon?’

Last year, Noel discussed the unusual addition and claimed that the sound was “snipping away at the last ribbons of Liam [Gallagher]’s sanity.”

Discussing the first performance featuring Marionneau’s scissors, he said: “I went ‘Do you know what that sound is? That’s the sound of Liam glassing himself’. We laughed.”
“Then on the night it was on the TV, somebody quipped: ‘It’s almost like she’s snipping away at the last ribbons of Liam’s sanity!’ We laughed all the way home.”

“I adore that girl, she’s amazing,” he added of Marionneau. “She means it, this is not a joke.”

In turn, Parklife Festival then took the decision to ban potato peelers last week after Liam was announced as a headliner.
