Voletta Wallace thinks her son treated Kim badly
The mother of the late Christopher Wallace aka Notorious BIG has said that she would like to meet with Lil’ Kim to hear about the couple’s relationship.
Wallace, who co-produced the rapper’s biopic ‘Notorious’, says that she learned things about her son from watching the movie, and has not accepted everything she saw.
“There were things about him that I never knew that I wanted to see for myself on film. I saw a side of my son that I heard of but I haven’t accepted,” she told Essence. “I’m angered by certain things, disappointed and shocked. So this film taught me tolerance and to be less critical.”
Referring to her late son’s relationship with Lil’ Kim, Wallace says she did not like his treatment of her.
“I would love to speak to Lil’ Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn’t like the way he treated her and I’m praying that that’s not it. Only she can answer those questions. She’s a sweet girl and I didn’t think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that’s the case.”
As previously reported, Lil’ Kim released a statement voicing her displeasure at how she is portrayed in ‘Notorious’, complaining that there are many lies and false portrayals of her in the film.
Voletta Wallace previously said the film has nothing to do with Lil’ Kim, saying: “This is not a Lil’ Kim movie. This is a Christopher Wallace movie. It has nothing to do with Lil’ Kim. If she’s disappointed and upset, that is her problem.”
Notorious BIG was shot and killed in 1997. ‘Notorious’ opens in the US this weekend.
