Notorious BIG to release Greatest Hits album

The collection marks ten years since the rapper's death

P Diddy‘s Bad Boy Records is set to mark ten years since Notorious BIG’s death with the release of a ‘Greatest Hits’ album on March 5 (March 6 in the US).

The New York rapper (real name Christopher Wallace) was fatally shot on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles and Diddy – who was BIG’s long-time friend and associate – has chosen to tie in a new collection with the upcoming anniversary.

“Through his words, persona, life and music, he was able to open doors and create opportunities for hip-hop as a whole,” he explained. “I wanted to celebrate his legacy, life and work as we mourn his senseless death 10 years ago. The release of ‘Greatest Hits’ makes it clear to the world why the Notorious BIG is the greatest rapper of all time.”

The compilation will also feature the two previously unreleased tracks –‘Runnin’ Ya Mouth’ and ‘Want That Old Thing Back’.
