Noel Gallagher names solo debut album ‘High Flying Birds’

Noel Gallagher has named his new solo debut album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’.

The ex-Oasis guitarist is due to announce full details of his new record, on his own label Sour Mash Records at a London press conference at 12 noon today (July 6). The album, which is his first material since Oasis split in August 2009, will be released on October 17.

Gallagher has also launched his own official website, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and MySpace page in the build up to the conference. No material has been posted up on any site so far.

Very few details are known about the album, so far other than the title, release date and rumours that the first single from the record will be the ‘The Death Of You And Me’.

Cameraman Nito Serna also recently tweeted. via Twitter.com/nitoserna that he was working on a video for Gallagher. He wrote: “Music video for Noel Gallagher out at Club Ed. Epic camera, techno crane. Should be an interesting day.” That tweet was removed soon after it went up.
