But former Oasis man's heart may be swayed by Carlos Tevez

Noel Gallagher has said he’s not going to vote for any political party in tomorrow’s (May 6) general election.

However, the former Oasis guitarist/songwriter joked that if he was able to, he’d vote for Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez.

In an interview with FA TV, Gallagher said: “Me and my missus were going on about [the election], and she’s saying, ‘Who you voting [for]?’ And I said well ‘I’m not voting for anyone. I’m just gonna take me voting card and I’m gonna put in massive letters “Tevez is god!”‘”

Gallagher, who is a lifelong supporter of Manchester City, added that he’s even thinking of naming his and partner Sara MacDonald‘s forthcoming baby after the Argentinean footballer.

“The new baby, if it’s a boy – Sara doesn’t know this yet – its definitely [going to be called] Carlos. Yeah, without a doubt,” he declared. “Or just Tevez. Tevez Gallagher. Carlito Gallagher. She doesn’t know this, but I’ll nip out to the Marylebone Registry Office while she’s having a nap.”

The guitarist also said that he’s unlikely to go to this year’s football World Cup, unless England “get to the semis” of the tournament.

“I was planning on going but I went and got my missus pregnant didn’t I,” he explained. “I should have knocked her up when I got back or something.”

Gallagher recently revealed he was Italy’s ‘lucky mascot’ at the last football World Cup.
