Singer speaks out at the Manchester launch of his clothing line
Liam Gallagher has spoken about his love for brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher.
Talking at the launch of his Pretty Green clothing line at the Manchester branch of Selfridges today (December 2), the singer revealed his feelings towards Noel, despite previously saying that he had no interest in speaking to him again.
“He’s doing his thing, we’re doing our thing, I wish him all the best,” Liam told Sky News. “I don’t wish him any bad, I’m his brother. I love him to death.” However, he did warn Noel by saying, “Don’t release [your album] the same day [as ours], ’cause we’ll ave ya.”
Asked whether he had a message to pass onto his brother, Liam cheekily said: “Good luck mate – see you in the next world. Don’t be late!”
As previously reported, Liam said his new band “may still be called Oasis“, but didn’t rule out a new name.
“We’re sorta going through the mill of getting a new name, nothing’s sticking, so we’ve drawn the line on the names at the moment,” he explained. “People are still gonna go, ‘It’s still Oasis, but it’s not Oasis without Noel‘ – life’s too short to be arsing about with what people think and that. We’ll see what happens, we’re concentrating on the music at the moment.”
As well as promoting his new clothing line, Liam recently announced that his new band had “got a bit of studio time booked after Christmas”.
