Noel recently claimed that rumour Oasis will reunite is false and came from Liam's camp
Liam Gallagher has compared brother Noel to controversial celebrity Katie Hopkins in a tweet responding to the recent rumours of an Oasis reunion.
Last month (April 19) tabloid reports emerged suggesting that a reunion for the band was on the cards, with a ‘well-placed source’ saying the brothers had come to “a gentlemen’s agreement” to reunite.
In an interview subsequently published by Rolling Stone, Noel denied this was the case and claimed that the rumour actually came from Liam’s camp.
Writing on Twitter earlier today (May 6), Liam Gallagher appeared to take exception to this and compared his brother to Katie Hopkins, the former star of The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother known for her outspoken, strong opinions. “I see Noel Katie Hopkins Gallagher is talking out of his slack arse again go and polish your SAXAPHONE,” he tweeted.
Oasis acrimoniously split in 2009 with Noel citing an inability to work with his brother as the key reason. There has, however, seemingly been a thawing in the pair’s relationship lately. Earlier this year Liam took to Twitter to post a photo of himself holding a backstage pass to one of Noel’s gigs, who in turn has publicly encouraged his younger sibling to record a solo album.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released their second album, ‘Chasing Yesterday’, in March 2015. Following the release it went to number one in the UK album chart.
