Noel Gallagher ‘loathes’ Scissor Sisters

He says there's no accounting for Britain's bad taste

Fresh from slamming The Beatles‘ new album ‘LOVE’, Noel Gallagher has taken a pop at Scissor Sisters.

The Oasis leader, whose band released best of ‘Stop The Clocks’ earlier this week (November 20), declared their sound as “music for squares”.

“I particularly loathe Scissor Sisters,” Gallagher told Spin. “I like ‘Laura’ from the first record, but it’s music for squares, man. They’re huge in England, but there’s no accounting for bad taste as far as the English are concerned.”

Gallagher also revealed a weakness for The Bee Gees, saying “They’re right up there with The Beatles in terms of how I learned to like music and how I was influenced as a songwriter.”

However, he went on to say “Once they get into disco and all that fucking nonsense, it’s music for women”.
