Gallagher appears in comedy sketch as part of annual telethon
Liam Gallagher made a guest appearance in a comedy sketch alongside Stephen Fry as part of this year’s Comic Relief.
In the sketch Fry is tasked with finding Britain’s next national treasure alongside Miranda Hart and Sheridan Smith. The three person panel then welcomed a number of famous faces into the room to state their case. Robbie Williams, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and model David Gandy were among the potential candidates.
The sketch then ended with Liam Gallagher walking in. Spotting him, Fry puts his head in his hands and the scenes ends with Gallagher’s name written on the list of National Treasures in pen next to a cartoon penis. Watch the final moment of the sketch below, now.
Other highlights from this year’s Comic Relief included TV presenter Dermot O’Leary dancing for 24 hours straight, which raised over £600,000 alone. Additionally, there were sketches including the return of David Walliams and Stephen Hawking in Little Britain, Emma Watson guest starring alongside Dawn French in The Vicar of Dibley, and Daniel Craig revealing that James Bond’s real voice is actually that of Alan Carr’s.
£78m has been raised for charity already this year with the organisation passing the £1bn mark in total donations over its 30 year history.
