OASIS CANCEL MORE SHOWS FOLLOWING US CRASH

Noel Gallagher's injuries worse than first thought...

OASIS have been forced pull two more shows on their US tour following a head-on car-smash that has left mainman NOEL GALLAGHER worse injured than first thought.

A follow-up examination of the band lynchpin yesterday (August 7) found that he had suffered heavy facial bruising, whiplash and shock. He has been prescribed powerful painkillers and ordered to rest for three days.

Following the cancellation of Wednesday’s show in Indianapolis, the city where the accident happened, tomorrow’s show in Philadelphia and Saturday’s in Boston have also been postponed.

A decision about the rescheduling of the shows is expected to be made early next week.

Gallagher, bassist Andy Bell and keyboard player Jay Darlington were involved in a head-on smash on Tuesday (August 6) when their taxi ploughed into another car at a busy junction. All were taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for cuts and bruises.

Speaking yesterday, frontman Liam Gallagher said of his brother: “I spoke to him (Noel) on the phone and he’s just bruised up and stuff, you know what I mean, shaken.”

A statement from Oasis management insists the band intend to make their show at the Roseland Ballroom
