Noel says the band are taking the rest of the year off...

OASIS fans may have to wait until 2005 for a new album after NOEL GALLAGHER revealed he is planning to take the rest of the year off.

TheOasis guitarist said he is tired of touring and being in a band, but said he will try to get into the studio over the next year.

“We’ll take the rest of the year off and the best part of 2004 will probably be spent in the studio, but I’m not in any rush, to be honest, I haven’t really talked about a new album yet. So I would have thought at the end of 2004, beginning of 2005. ” he told Heat magazine.

Oasis recently returned from a short European tour after they spent 2002 touring the world promoting their fifth album , ‘Heathen Chemistry’. Gallagher said he is not raring to get back on the road.

“I’ve been around the world 15 fucking times and I’ve seen every single thing there is to see. So it doesn’t hold any great adventure to me. it’s like doing a job, which is why we get so bored.”

Oasis have confirmed they will not be rescheduling cancelled shows from last autumn’s U.S. tour. The band has to scrap the shows in Indianapolis, Philadelphia and Boston after Noel Gallagher was involved in a car accident last August.
