DIRT McGIRT, otherwise known as OL’ DIRTY BASTARD, performed his first gig on Friday night (June 13) since being let out of the state’s custody a couple of months ago.
The performance, held at Plaid, New York, was delayed for an hour while ODB prepared himself to get onstage.
The club’s owner addressed the audience saying, “Give us a few minutes and we’ll get this boy onstage… He’s not fit to get onstage right now. We’re gonna clean him up.”
The rapper took “a leak” and then appeared onstage, running through such songs as ‘Baby C’Mon’, ‘Brooklyn Zoo’ and ‘Got Your Money’, MTV reports.
McGirt told the crowd, “Nothin’ like Friday the 13th. I feel like Elton John in this mutha—-a. I been locked down for a while so y’all gotta excuse me. Let’s see if I remember how to do this sh–.”
The Wu-Tang Clan member has been in the studio working on his new album scheduled for release this year. Collaborators on the record reportedly include The Neptunes and [a][/a].
