Odd Future’s Hodgy Beats posts three new tracks – listen

Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweathshirt recently suggested the rap collective had broken up

Odd Future’s Hodgy Beats has posted three new tracks online, listen below.

The tracks arrive following suggestions made by Odd Future members Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt that the rap collective has disbanded.

Fans grew concerned on Wednesday (May 27) when Tyler tweeted that “although its no more, those 7 letters are forever”. It is unclear whether he was referring to a T-shirt emblazoned with the word ‘Cheetah’ mentioned in the previous tweet, or the band’s full title ‘OFWGKTA’.

Responding to speculation a day later, Tyler tweeted: “ALL I WAS DOING WAS LOOKING AT OLD PHOTOS WITH FRIENDS AND THINKING ABOUT HOW TIME FLIES, CRAZY HOW ONE TWEET CAN STIR SO MUCH”

Later, however, Earl Sweatshirt said Tyler had been “solidifying the obvious”, reigniting rumours of the band’s demise. See all the tweets here.

Hodgy Beats was the first member of Odd Future to release solo material, 2009’s ‘The Dena Tape’. He followed this with ‘The Dena Tape 2’ mixtape earlier this year.

Tyler, The Creator recently released his third studio album ‘Cherry Bomb’ in April, while Earl Sweatshirt released his second LP ‘I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’ in March.
