Andre 3000 adds another string to his bow...
OUTKAST‘s ANDRE 3000 is launching his own fashion label next spring.
The ‘Hey Ya!’ star – renowned for his own unique dress sense – hopes that his clothing range will “make an impact”.
He said: “It will be out next spring. There will be something for everybody, whether you want to dress up or down, and there will be a lot of classic finery. It will make an impact.”
Andre 3000 told The Sun newspaper: “American designer Ralph Lauren is my idol, so you get the idea. My label will be called Designs by Benjamin Andre but we may come up with another, shorter title.”
As previously reported on NME.COM: OutKKast will make two albums and a movie in the next year, despite widespread rumours that they are on the verge of splitting.
Big Boi told MTV about the duo’s plans for the next OutKast album, as well as a soundtrack album for a film in which they will both star.
Andre is also making his starring movie debut in a project based on the ‘Love Below’ song ‘Love Hater’, but the pair will also star in a film together.
Big Boi said: “We will not be playing OutKast in the movie. It’s set during the Prohibition era. Dre is the son of a mortician and I own a club… it’s a devilish place. It’s going to be a lot of action, adventure, romance.”
