Singer Paul Banks tries on new hat for festival

Interpol showcased tracks from their new album at Oxegen tonight (July 7).

The band treated the crowd to four songs on the NME Stage from new album ‘Our Love To Admire’ which was released earlier this week including hit single ‘The Heinrich Maneuver’,‘Mammoth’, ‘Rest My Chemistry’ and ‘Pioneer To The Falls’.

Singer, Paul Banks swapped his trilby hat for a black tea-cosy as the band reeled off an hour set which also saw the band play tracks from ‘Antics’ and their debut ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’.

The highlight of the gig was hit single ‘Evil’ which saw sections of the crowd loudly singing the words back to the band.

As the band brought the show to a close the crowd were chanting ‘Ole Ole Ole Ole’ before they finished with ‘PDA’.
