The star fails to stop the robbers escaping with £2 million worth of loot from his mansion - but he gives it a good go...
Ozzy Osbourne’s BUCKINGHAMSHIRE mansion has been targeted by thieves who escaped with up to £2 million worth of jewellery.
The former Black Sabbath singer caught one of the masked raiders and held him in a headlock while his wife Sharon was sleeping.
But the intruder broke free before jumping 30ft from a first floor window, according to today’s (November 23) Sun newspaper.
The burglar escaped in a van with an accomplice in the early hours of Monday morning (November 22).
Two gold wedding rings, a 24-carat sapphire, a 10-carat diamond engagement ring, two watches and a diamond daisy necklace were stolen before the intruders were disturbed.
Ozzy Osbourne caught the burglar after he got out of bed to go to the toilet.
“He didn’t say anything, nor did I. I just looked at him, he was heavy — all I could see were his wild red eyes,” he told The Sun.
“I thought for a mad split second, ‘I could snap your neck like a straw, snap it and let you fall and say it was an accident’. But then I just let him drop. I couldn’t kill him, I couldn’t live with that on my conscience.”
The burglar was well-built and about 5ft 10in tall, wearing a ski-mask, a light-coloured jacket and trainers, according to Thames Valley Police. No description of his accomplice has been released.
