Spokesperson responds to Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne split reports

The couple have been married for over 33 years

A spokesperson has responded to reports that Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon Osbourne have split after more than 33 years of marriage.

The Black Sabbath frontman wed manager and former X Factor judge in 1982, having three children together. The family life later became the focus of MTV reality show The Osbournes, which aired between 2002 and 2005.

E! News reported over the weekend that the pair had “mutually agreed” to split, with Ozzy moving out of their family home.

The report stated that Ozzy’s sobriety had not been a factor behind the break-up. In 2013, the couple temporarily split after the singer relapsed into drug and alcohol abuse after years of being sober.

A spokesperson for the couple has issued a statement to Rolling Stone, which reads: “At this time, Ozzy is not in the marital home.”

Ozzy has since denied that a lapse in sobriety was the reason for this latest alleged split. He told E! News: “I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

Black Sabbath are currently on their “last-ever” tour (entitled ‘The End Tour’). Guitarist Tony Iommi has hinted that the band’s last ever show might take place in their hometown of Birmingham.
